A message I gave to my dear brothers and sisters at Glorious Light Church from 1 Peter 1 – 2:12… Are you ready to be a Glorious Light?
Over the past few years now I have had the privilege of playing a small part in planting a new church in Chicago’s South side Bronzeville neighborhood. The Church’s name is Glorious Light Church. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and love for this community of believers who passionately love God and compassionately love their surrounding community. I recently had the privilege of sharing God’s word with my dear GLC family. I am so inspired by their hunger for God’s word and their zeal serve His purpose. I am also so inspired by my dear brother, Pastor Mike Neal. The faithfulness that he and his family continues to model for the Glory of Christ is nothing short of amazing. You are my hero Mike Neal. In fact, your whole family is inspirational. Glorious Light Church, You truly are a Glorious Light. Thank you so much for graciously allowing my family and me to come and share with you the hope that is within us. We cannot not wait to see you again soon. Until we meet again I will continue to pray Ephesians 1:15-23 over you.
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That poweris the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right handin the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
